Exciting Participation at the 12th ACI/RILEM International Conference - ICCM 2024

12th ACI/RILEM International Conference - ICCM 2024

We are excited to announce our participation in the 12th ACI/RILEM International Conference on Cementitious Materials and Alternative Binders for Sustainable Concrete. Our team presented the latest research on low-carbon Mg-based binders. We delivered scientific presentations, received positive feedback, and engaged in meaningful discussions.

Barbara Lothenbach shared the latest state-of-the-art on magnesium based binders, focusing on Mg-carbonate binders.

Ellina Bernard presented her recent work on carbonation of magnesium silicate cement.

Charlotte Dewitte elaborated the influence of difference sample preparations and water-to-binder ratio on the chemo-mechanical properties of M-S-H.

Raphael Kuhn presented his investigation on the difference between MgO cement and PC cement stabilized clays.

Paula Montserrat-Torres shared her first hand results on the hydration mechanism of MgO-nesquehonite blends.

Zeyu Zhou elaborated the effect of silica on the hydration and mechanical performance of MgO-nesquehonite binder.

We thank the organizers for a fantastic event and look forward to applying the insights gained to our future projects.
