After studying general engineering at the Ecole des Mines d'Albi-Carmaux, Charlotte specialised in Civil Engineering at the Ecole des Mines d'Alès. She presented a CIFRE thesis (IRSN / LMDC) in January 2023 on the magnesium attack of low-carbon concretes (https://www.theses.fr/s253285) and obtained her doctorate from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) Toulouse. She specialises in the study and prediction of the chemo-mechanical properties of innovative construction materials and their degradation.

She is currently a researcher at Empa (Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing and Research, Zurich, Switzerland).
