Participation in Goldschmidt conference, Prague 2025
This year’s edition of the Goldschmidt conference took place in Prague. Jiaxing Ban from PSI presented his latest advancements in hydrotalcite function in Mg cement, titled "Spectroscopic and Thermodynamic Insights into pH-Dependent Fe Incorporation and Phase Transformation in Hydrotalcite-group Structures".
In his talk, he provided insights into pH-Dependent Fe Incorporation and Phase Transformation in Hydrotalcite-group Structures. He discussed how the common pH in the cementitious materials influences the Fe Incorporation behavior in the hydrotalcite phase, highlighting their potential to support the development of low-carbon and durable construction materials.
The excellently organized conference provided an ideal platform for experts in the field of geochemistry to exchange ideas, share research, and foster collaboration. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the organizing team of the Goldschmidt Conference 2025, held at the Prague Congress Centre (Prague, Czech Republic) on 6–11 July 2025, for their outstanding efforts in hosting this valuable and well-executed event. The Goldschmidt Conference is jointly organized by the Geochemical Society and the European Association of Geochemistry.
