Dr. Michal Hlobil

Postdoctoral Researcher

Michal is a scientist at Empa's Concrete and Asphalt lab and works on the development of magnesium cement-based concrete, from material design to mechanical properties and durability characterization. His other research interests include microstructure-informed development of micromechanical computational models. In parallel, he coordinates the knowledge transfer from research to industrial partners, implementing the newly developed materials and technologies into Empa's NEST Beyond Zero unit.
