Clelia Bouchaud-Deliot
PhD Student
Clelia Bouchaud-Deliot is a PhD student at EMPA, working on the project «Low Carbon Magnesium-based binders», funded by SNSF grant, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Barbara Lothenbach and Dr. Frank Winnefeld. Her research topic focuses on the impact of minor additives on the kinetics in HMC cements. The aim is to understand of the effect of minor components on the reaction rate and the phase assemblage in MgO/nesquehonite binder in order to optimize its kinetics without altering its properties.
Her work involves the study of hydration in MgO/nesquehonite binders and solid and liquid phase analysis. To this end, she uses various characterization techniques such as isothermal calorimetry, XRD, FTIR, TGA, ICP-OES and TOC.
